mouldy plums
Hello
I have a plum tree that fruits very well, but the last 2 years the plums get a brown mould on them and they go all squidgy and rot on the tree. If I pick the fruit before the "mould" gets a hold then I can wash the mould off , but the fruits don't last very long before they are soft and awful.
Is there anything that I can spay on it , or do I have to get rid of the tree.
And if I have to get rid of the tree what if any fruit trees/ordinary trees can I plant in its place

Hi Pansyface
Yes that is exactly what they look like . I am not very greenfingered and have never heard of brown rot till now thankyou.
the tree is not very big (about 8ft) and the rot is all over the tree ,so I think it will be easier to remove it. and plant a ordinary tree for cover for birds thanks again
hi logan
I had tried that but it affected even solitary fruits, but thankyou for your reply.
pansyface posted a photo link which shows it is "brown rot" so I am going to remove the tree and plant a orinary one for cover for birds
