advice please

Hi, i have just purchased a vibernum Kilimanjaro Sunrise from a well known supplier and i am very disappointed with the condition of it, i realise its the winter season but the plant still has stringy bits on the ends of the small branches (possibly last years growth) and for £29.99 plus £20 p&p its a poor specimen. please can you advise on should i cut back the branches to a decent bud and any advise on planting conditions and later pruning, regards Terry

If you're not happy with it then I'd be contacting the suppliers for their explanation.

If they say that it's fine and it's just the time of year, then at least you'll have on record that you weren't happy with it when it arrived, so if it fails to thrive you have evidence to claim a refund.

Could the stringy bits be where berries have been removed?

  • Many thanks Dovefromabove, i will do this, it could be the old berries so i will ask them

    Thank you

The delivery charge is daylight robbery, too. We pay £10 PP because we live in the Isle of Wight but for that price I'd expect them to reach the outer Hebrides - unless that's where you are! Next time, shop around and buy locally whenever you can!

  • Hi Posy, i live near you in Portsmouth, i certainly will not be using Burncoose again, once bitten twice shy, £50 for a stick and some wispy side bits. Tetley it is a 9cm pot not nothing massive but for that price i was expecting much better

Hello Terry! We live and learn, don't we. I have never ordered from them and I am pretty sure that a lot of people on here won't be doing so after your experience. Better luck next time
