Oh Snow, I agree with you on Joe Swift, sorry Joe but not my style of gardening or presenting. Does it have to be someone we know already? Why can't it be someone that's a gardener, not a presenter....some new blood image

but like Verdun, I wonder where they will find the time for another presenter in a thirty minute show, especially when they waste time by telling us what's coming up in the show! image we plan on watching, they don't need to give us a contents menu!

Joe Swift ain't my favourite either.  'Patronising' doesn't get close to describing him.

Terry Walton should get his own allotment programme as should the fabulous Christine Walkden who should have a programme looking into everyday gardening folks back gardens.

I agree, a new face on GW would be good. Someone that doesnt have prescribed media training, but does have a passion and natural talent. A real personality without being overly animated.

I think the programme makers should visit a few gardening clubs or allotments to talent spot, rather than advertising in a media mag. even if it is for gardeners.

Someone with a real accent too!! We hear so few on the telly box.

Age shouldn't come into it for me. Monty's recent article on that topic was spot on.

Also, someone with a natural body shape please!

Someone with knowledge and  enthusiasm and the ability to convey that on screen. (ie me image)

I have no issue with the number of presenters, it's not as if they ALL have to be on the programme EVERY week.

Snow - definitely wishful thinking but we can live in hope, can't we.   Gardeners have to be optimistic.

Agree with your earlier post too except for CB.   He's a clever chap and could do both except he might need a time turner to fit it in with his other activities.

I think it's more important that we see the presenters' hands and what they're doing with them than their faces, whoever it is.   Can someone please tell the director?
