  • I grew it indoors in a pot once. It grew and flowered successfully, but I didn't find the scent very attractive.

I tried to grow it last summer, started it off indoors then put on south facing patio in sheltered spot, grew a few leaves then died, very disappointed

I tried. The moment a shoot appeared the slugs were on it. They seemed to come from miles around, in legions. I tried and tried to protect it and it tried and tried to grow but we were overwhelmed. It is no more.

I grew it last year but it took ages for one to form a bud and it never opened.  I'm leaving them in the pot this year to see if I have any better results, if not then they are for the compost bin.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • I grew them indoors and the scent was wonderful.  I kept the bulbs for 2 or 3 more years but they never flowered again despite lots of tlc.  Plenty of leaves but that was it.  Even repotted half of them and added high-potash feed.. Grow them on a very sunny windowsill or in a conservatory, enjoy for that year and then chuck 'em away is my advice. image

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • It is coming back to me now. After mine flowered I threw them away because they don't flower again, at least not for some time. so it is better to get fresh bulbs.
