  • My biggest problem is always planting too many seeds in the greenhouse every

year.Last spring it was too many tomato seeds.thinking half would die but no they

all survived much to my surprise. So I finished up giving some away making our friends happy. The upside was everyone gave us tomatoes till the end of Summer.

My worst disaster was also last year I grew different varieties of sunflower starting

them off in the greenhouse. They looked good so I decided to transfer them outdoors. Next morning they were all eaten back to ground level so that was the

end of my Sunflower competition.Good old snails were well fed again..

I usually start sowing seeds far to early and run out of room indoors for seedlings, resulting in them going out before the last frost, then loosing some.

Did the same thing last year, started sowing 'to early and was unexpectedly in hospital for several weeks so it was the end of April before I could start sowing again after all my earlier seedlings had died.

I bought some seedlings, so I had some stuff to plant out in May but the later sowings grew quickly and although everything flowered or was ready to harvest later, what started of as a disastrous year ended as a successful one.
