Hi

Does anyone know where I can get seeds of Acer Plantanoides Dissectum- Cut leaf Norway Maple?

Thanks

I thinks it's unlikely that you can. That will be a variety of cultivar and won't seed true.

If you find a tree with seeds it's worth a try, it just takes rather a long time to find out if you've got a good one

It is propagated by grafting, if you know where there is a specimen you could have a go at grafting otherwise why don't you purchase a tree from a commercial supplier.

  • Thanks Nutcutlet - its worth a try.

Thanks Invicta2- I have looked at a lot of online tree sites but I cant seem to find it

Acers are fairly easy from seed, germinate best after a cold period. Cultivars will not come true but you might get some interesting variations.

can collect your own seed from existing plants or buy them from seed companies.
