Helping birds win prizes

Let's all do our bit to help those little birds to win.  Just received this week's newsletter and the heading is 'Help Garden Birds/Win Garden Prizes'.  Any suggestions on how we can help them to win or what you think they might be interested inimage

    A month's worth of unrestricted access to soft fruit, in a month of the bird's own choosing? Pliers to cut through wire mesh on fruit cages? A permanent home on the tree branch just above my poor car? (Actually they've already won that one.)

    Ours might like a dehumidifier: the bird feeders keep getting moist in and ruining the seeds.

  • My cat has set his sights on catching a pheasant (he's not bothered about the little birds - think big is his motto!) If the pheasants win I think they'd want a mini tiger trap - or a mini AK47image
