Evergreen screening

Hi Im looking for advise on some evergreen screening. I have some trees on a boarder that runs along side a path. The path can see into my new kitchen extension. I want to grow some fast growing thick evergreen screening plants for privacy. Can anyone recommend something as im a complete novice in gardening. Thanks

If its fast growing, you will be forever having to clip it to keep it under control.

Yew or holly can be clipped into a nice evergreen hedge. Holly has the advantage it deters people from getting too close. You could probably get pot grown plants a couple of feet high, and they will grow about a foot a year.

You can get trough grown instant  hedge, ready done at a decent height but it will be expensive.

I have not used these so this is not a recommendation, just a suggestion.

I'd go for holly too Matt. The variegated varieties make very attractive hedges. Just stay clear of leyllandii as it takes over and causes more problems than its worth.
