of course Verdun! I was thinking earlier 'oh I never mentioned I have plenty of hardy geraniums, I'm trying to get a few less! I can split some I have ( don't know what varieties, inherited, one bluish mauve, one magenta both 1-1.5 feet tall?) I will look at those you recommend. Re prunus... I keep seeing 'kiku shidare zakura and I love it maybe even more....Parkers website says 2.5-4 metres RHS says 4...I'm still after getting rid of detested rhododendron which is maybe 2.5-3 metres high and wide... that would give me space for either... wonder if I can do some serious chopping over the weekend?...
here I am again I used to be indecisive but now I don't know. Ok so I'd decided amanogawa was best as narrow but checking rhs website it says eventual spread 2.5-4 metres which is the same as the cheals weeping cherry I like most of all, that has eventual height as 4 metres wheras the Amanogawa says 8 metres! I'm looking at them in the Parkers cataloge, this has the dimensions much smaller...help!!
