Weather affecting nature

Here in Devon I've seen everything from daffodils, celandine to Prunus flowering all over the place. If we get a cold snap will this mean everything will die and not bloom in Springtime?

Bulbs won't. Just enjoy them image

Everything else will take it's chances and sort itself out. We've had a load of similar threads on the subject. Winter's still to come!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

There have been a few threads re this Maureen, have a poke around the last few days postingsimage

My feeling is that we have no 'normal' in the UK. There is 'average' which is not the same thing at all.

I have a few daffs, I expect more at their usual time. I have a few snowdrops, but expect the peak at least 3 weeks in the future, possibly more if it turns cold.

It's worth looking at the new year's day flower count thread as wellimage

I have snowdrops in flower, as well as red campion behind (my flowering) helebores in my small woodland garden and lobelia and geraniums flowering in hanging baskets stacked behind my greenhouse from last year!

though I have just had to de-ice the car, which is a first this winter so possibly the last two have now been knocked on the head!
