Watery Shed
Hi can anyone help with a problem I have with my shed, I installed my overlap style shed on a 4x4 treated wood base which sits on the grass and for the last couple of years I have noticed water patches starting half way down the inside panels on one side of the shed and coming out about a little way on the floor, I have checked for leaks in the roof and also checked the side panels that are affected and just cant see what could be wrong, all looks as new as the day I erected the shed, the water problem is also on my shelving I have fixed to the same panels in the shed, I have had to throw away full boxes of different ground feeds and items like plastic bottles of tomato feed and are soaking wet, what was strange is standing next to the tomato feed I had ant powder bottles and they were all dry. if someone can understand what is going on in my shed I will be very grateful.

Even a tiny hole in a roof can let quite a bit of water in PJL. Most sheds have leaks from time to time.
You may have to re seal the roof - either with new felt or with a coat of rubberised paint which you can get in DIY stores.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you all for your posts, I have inspected the shed on the roof and on the side panels and can’t find anything wrong, the shed still looks as good as when I bought it, there are no gaps or openings in the panels like you normally get with these overlap style sheds I just can’t find anything. I was going on the same thoughts as where I thought it could be rising damp as the wet patches are about 2’6” from the ground up and coming out onto the floor about 6” from the side panel but none of the other panels are wet, I then thought it could be what pansyface said because the wind really gets going down here near the coast of Southampton, but to be honest I haven’t a clue as why the rain is getting in. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem, do you think sheeting the whole side affected with roofing felt would do the trick?
PJL re felt it. You probably have a small hole somewhere it's so easy to get a hole you really won't see it. You can apply a weather seal all round.
