Washingtonia robusta poorly

a1154a1154 Posts: 1,108

I bought several of these when the garden centres were selling up plants cheap.  They are about 2-3ft.  Im in S Scotland, so didnt think they would go outside (its snowing as i type!) so put them in my hall, very minimal watering. Its not well heated, should be 12. Degrees ish.

They are looking very poorly, yellow and flopping. Any ideas on rescue?  I have to say im generally not good with houseplants unless they need ignoring most of the year.

keeping them very dry.  Cant do much about the light levels.

Is it unlikely they can live as houseplants ?

Moved them to the best possible position light-wise.  Not watering.
