I have wild violets in my garden. They do spread but I just pull out the ones growing in the wrong places. They are great for places other things won't grow (shade). However, they spread a long way as the seed pods explode and scatter seeds for miles! (Well not actually miles but yards maybe).
Gardenmaiden, I've just had a quick peek under the leaf canopy and can see something purple starting to come out - so bingo!
Marygold, that sounds exciting - kaboom! *dons safety goggles* - they do seem to be quite nicely contained at the moment, but I'll keep an eye out for the outward bound ones. It's quite nice to have something that's providing all year round ground cover, so I might try and split them up a bit and spread them to other places I need a bit of ground cover.

violet? So it could be something I've actually heard of? This is unprecedented!
So, violets in the good way or violets in the 'actually an evil weed masquerading as a nice plant' way? (You can see I have no clue)
Defiantly violets and they spread well
I thought violet, and if it is the flowers will be purple.
