I would go with campanula potenschlagia for the first - a good doer in my gardenimage

Liz, don't worry about how many threads you start, or how many times you ask for help. We all try to help beginners as much as we can. We were all beginners once.image

  • Thank you people. I've spent the last week on and off clearing the ground of leaves and dead bits of plants. Purchased new tools and planted some bulbs. Writen in my diary when to buy and plant some plants and then when do things to them throughout the year like prune them!

We had a rosemary in a similar position which did very well for years. it enjoys the dry and light, doesn't get too big and has bee-loving flowers.
