Sempervivums

I have purchased a very nice collection of Sempervivum's  over the past 6 months and as a precaution moved them into my cold greenhouse early this month. Although this has protected them from all the rain and wet weather I am concerned that a number of the collection have small light brown marks on the leaves. To be honest now I can look closely at the plants this may have already been present. Any advise would be appreciated.

Can you show us a photo of the marks please - to upload a photo you need to click on the green tree icon on the toolbar above where you type your post and follow the instructions.  If that doesn't work give us a shout ...

Not all of the Sempervivums have these marks and it seems confined to the outer, old leaves. Do you think it could be rain damage!.

  • Thanks very much. Hope the damage will grow out next season.

One thing I'd be careful about, with them being in a greenhouse, is to make sure they have good ventilation David. If the temps are higher, humidity can be an issue. image

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thanks again Fairygirl I am hoping to construct an open fronted shelter so they can be outside but not drowned by all this rain!. image
