just to share some of my favourites that i have bred for last 15 years managed to get some little beauties had some failures too but thats to be expected i have hand pollinated hundreds over the years hope you like,They are up very early because of the mild weather,

i have loved them for many years they lift your spirits in the winter to remind you that spring is just around the corner. plus they are a good necter source for bees if they are out early.

I will have some seeds spare later in the year so if any one is interested i will save you all some. no guarantees but the fun of seeing the first flowers coming up after nearly 3 years of waiting is so exiting!

I let them develop their first true leaves then i pot them up individually in 3 inch pots and grow on from there if i have some room in my veg plot i plant a couple of rows to grow on the roots must not dry out at all so i usually pot on on dull cool days.
Hi Pansy face thank you i have white ones in the garden so far the pheasants have not eaten the flowers but the black ones seem to get chomped by somehting
Perhaps the pheasants are eating mine, I've always blamed the mutjac
