Little weedy allium

B3B3 Posts: 27,502

A while ago you identified and gave me some advice about this alium . Can't remember the name but the sages correctly predicted that it could become a pest.

Anyway, with the warm weather, it has sprouted. To avoid damaging surrounding bulbs, I would prefer t leave it until later - unless it spreads any other way apart from seeds -does it?

Thanks in advance chaps.

If its the yellow allium moly, the bulbs proliferate like crazy. Dig up and bin.

    That's plan B!

The flowers were whitish and the seeds were round and red, about the size of a ball bearing. FLowers definitely not yellow.  The bed looks as if it is covered in grass!

Thanks for advice V. Fortunately it's just in a small bed out the front so will pick a handful every time I pass . At least it's smothering the oxalis!
