Worms and Manure
I have rough dug a plot and have the manure to add when appropriate
? When we say "Let the worms in the manure take the goodness down into the soil " how long does it take for the little blighters to do their job
? Do they come up and down or how does it work
? Does any one have a website that explains their actions and timing please
Thank you

they do it all day every day. They're wonderful critters.
Basically they eat decomposing material and what comes out the other end is pure fertiliser.
As they move about they leave little tunnels behind which helps aerate the soil at the same time.
