Square bites in the leaves a lot of them . I thought it was vine weevil and have treated everything accordingly. But to no result. even used various sprays, the plants are all healthy but even with six inches of snow in Richmondshire it is still munching away. I have looked under leaves, in the soil,and all round the area. baffled has anyone got any ideas.

Yes LTB I would check some roots for grubs as well, if you find some you'll know it's vine weevil. I lost some shrubs in pots a few years ago because of vine weevil grubs, I'm positively paranoid about them now. Hope you can get to the bottom of it.
