When/where to sow
I have 14 packs of seeds of differing plants and after reading it tells me I can sew indoors from December/January on the little coloured graph..but on further reading it tells me not to sew till a few months later..is this indoor recommendation a non heated greenhouse..forgive me my greeness..little pun..but would like to get these on the go if I can start now as I have a lot more packets of seeds for later on in spring.
Thank you

Hello Pompey
Tetley brings up a very good point - when the seedlings have germinated and begun to grow they will need pricking out - they will take up a lot of space when they are all in pots.
I would have a look here

As you'll see they'll take up a lot of space once they're in pots - and if you start really early they may need to be potted on into even bigger pots before the weather is kind enough for them to be outside.
The trick is to time your seed sowing so that you have enough room to grow your plants on in a protected space.

Well thank you all..all advice inwardly digested...I have about 25 packs of seeds which I have got from the mag I read and they were starting to pile up..so was thinking about using some to get the numbers down a bit..but maybe now I might hold on for a month or two..saying that it is rather tempting. My apologies for not replying earlier but work a bit busy at moment but try to get on here at least once a day.
Thank you again
