Help! New member, newly turfed lawn.

Hi All.

I have just had 15 ton dug out of my garden and new (so called) top soil put down by a cowboy.

The turf arrived yesterday which i have laid and gave it a good watering last night and early this morning.

With the weather being so hot here on the south coast and no sign of it letting up for a while. Can i water during the day?

I have researched it but some say you can and some say you can't. I realise that i must not over water but with this weather being so hot and dry i am a little worried about my new lawn.

I also realise that this is not the best time of year to lay a new lawn but i have been governed by work commitments. Typical that we'd get a heat wave.
