I have an old agricultural pond approx 40m x10m that is covered with Stratiotes Aloides (Water Soldier) to the point that I can not see the water. How can I control it? I have tried pulling hundreds of the plants out but within a few weeks more appear. Is there a chemical that I can use. I do not want to erradicate the plants but to control their spread.
