Clemaitis lovers - please identify

    ...this is Clematis 'Ice Blue' in my garden.. or it was.. as it died on me this Spring after just 2 years in the ground...this has made me wary of these Boulevard clematis you see in garden centres, as they're quite expensive too... this one cost something like £18.00...also it only flowers in mid May-mid June...

    .sorry to be negative but obviously disappointed with it...

    What a shame, it was so pretty. But I have a double white clematis which I haven't seen for two years and it's popped up again! It was supposed to be a Florida with a purple middle, but it turned out to be Florida Alba Plena.

    Netherfield- agree with Richard  - it looks like Rouge Cardinal. The slightly reflexed shape is typical. Rebecca's a bit bigger with 'pointier' sepals Nynaeve. Lovely clematis.image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    After seeing that from obelixx, I think you are all probably right,thank you.

    That's the problem with inheriting plants with a house.

    There will be another later in the year to identify,when it flowers.

    I dont regonise that one very nice thou,i have the president and it does not look like that.
