I subscribed to the 5 for £5 and can confirm it's identical to the newsagent's copy but with extra pages with subscriber discounts....

Also the magazine is dispatched at the end of the month, so if this is something you've received in the last couple of days,  I'm sure it's nothing to do with the mag itself.

Could you possible have misinterpreted something else for GW?

Strange that Square Mary hasn't returned. Perhaps she's finally got her complete mag and is too busy catching up. image

  • Hello everyone, thank you very much for all the replies.  I'm new to forums and have been out gardening in the glorious weather!  Sent an email to GW and received a lovely, very prompt and very full reply outlining in detail the many differences between the subscriber mag and the off-the-shelf version.  Much reassured that we subscribers are getting more, not less, than the off-the-shelf version and looking forward to making the best of all the offers. Full marks to GW, nice to be able to say I am wrong and great to hear how much you all enjoy the mag too.  Happy gardening

I have received my first copy of the '5 for £5' subscriber offer, and what I received is very different, and very inferior, to the Gardener's World magazine on sale in the shops, yet it is blatantly advertised in GW as a subscription to GW.  Afraid it's an example of "if an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is".  Shame on you, GW
