Fed up with the heat!

I wish it would cool down... much as I hate to say it! Having nurtured lots of plants through the cold spring, I am fed up with losing them to the scorching sun. I have so many plants waiting to go in, but my soil which is super when damp,

is just gray dust at the moment. I have to carry water down two flights of stairs

so only my pots and seedlings get water!

The perennials are looking very sad.
