sprouting broccoli

morning all, for the first time i have grown sprouting broccoli this year and before i really have chance to harvest it as gone to flower.
is this normal or am i doing somethink wrong.?....

It could be the heat at the moment. Have you watered it enough? Would have needed quite a lot.
Just cut off the flower heads , feed and water and it should reshoot from the sides(in the leaf axils).
