Passion Flowers

Hi it's the amateur gardener again. Firstly I just wanted to thank all for helping me with taking care of my lovely roses for Winter; I have another question about a Passion Flower which a friend of mine has. It grew great guns with all it's flowers and tendrils in Summer and Autumn, but it's looking pretty sorry for itself right now. Can I get advice about pruning/cutting back and how far I should go please? Thanks :O)

Hi Jan, ideally they should be pruned immediately after flowering, cutting each flowered shoot back to leave 2 buds after the point the shoot emerges from the main stem. They can take a hard pruning if overgrown, but leave that until spring. More advice from the RHS here:
