Any ideas?
Hi all, I saw a plant this morning and wondered what it was (no photo sorry, but I might go past again). It was an unpruned bush, about 4x4ft, a tangle of thin woody branches and on the very ends (because of the lack of pruning) the leaflets were like wisteria but closer together. Just a few green leaves, no berries or flowers. Sorry for the lack of information but I was driving and had no time to take a photo. Any ideas to get me started? Many thanks. BTW it wasn't wisteria!

I'd need a bit more than that

I'm so sorry guys. I will be going past it next week. I will take a photo. I've just walked around a garden centre in the vain hope of finding it but no joy. I promise a photo next week.
Right, bit more organised today. Here are some photos of the shrub, it looks a bit like a large leafed version of Lonicera nitida (but isn't). I hope they're clear and help with an ID. Many thanks.
A cotoneaster of some sorts? Might need to wait to see if it flowers in the Spring . Keep taking photographs in the meantime!!
Definitely not cotoneaster. The leaves are soft and there's not a berry in sight. The branches are quite thin and pliable. It does have a look of a snowberry about it but I would have expected a berry somewhere in that thicket? But thanks guys.
re your comparison to Lonicera nitida.
I wonder if it is a species of lonicera, the stems and buds look more like lonicera than snowberry to me.
Not one I recognize though, sorry

No no no Edd, I don't want it. I pass it on the way to work and initially I thought I recognised it but now it's driving me crazy because it doesn't seem to be anything I can find in my books yet it looks so ordinary. I thought I'd look silly for asking as I thought someone would come on straightaway and just name it but now I'm really frustrated. I shall watch it in a few months time to see what happens and if that gives me any clues. It's a real mess but maybe it's supposed to be
Take a few more photos if you get a chance.

I still think lonicera but not nitida or pileata

I did take one more photo but I wasn't sure how useful it was. Does this help at all?
Eh? I don't get it Edd. Did someone upset you or are you joking? I'll look up the Lonicera's. Thanks everyone.
