  • Librarians Garden,  That Fuchsia obviously loves you.   When plants show such devotion to me, it reminds me of that dear little dog in Doc Martin who obviously adores the doctor but whose affection is not reciprocated.  The plants are silently pleading to be allowed to stay - what can you do?  Even horlicks wouldn't get me to sleep at night if I turned my back on them.

    Geraniums. I can't stand the smell. I'm also one of those people to whom coriander tastes like soap and I wonder if it's a similar compound in both (coriander and geraniums, not coriander and soap).

    Saw lillies in Tesco that had been force- fed on blue ink - almost as distasteful as fois gras image

    From a curious mind and child like experiments I like the idea of "growing" my own blue lilly. But what's the point in buying one? Surely the growing is the best bit! Do the people buying them even know how it is created?

  • Hate those bright green/pink/orange etc flowers that supermarkets sell too. They're sort of florescent colours and look so fake YUK image
