Avacado plant

I am growing an avacado plant from stone, I read that the roots will come first and then the stork will come through the split in the stone at the top that the roots have caused. My problem is that the roots have split the stone clean in half with each half having 1 root each. So my question is will I end up with 2 plants or will I have 1 dead plant?!

If each half has a root then I imagine that each half will grow into a plant. Pot them up and see what happens.
