Yes that is a lovely picture Yvie and you have all given me some great ideas, and I won't be drilling holes in the bottom of the churn - but will look for a pot amongst our pile of different sized pots to fit it - preferably two - one for summer and another for winter time. Trailing ivy and either ivy geraniums or lobelia would be my choice but grape hyacinths are colourful too and quite easy to grow in our part of the world. Thanks.
