    The purple one looks like a variety of salvia ?sclarea. Orange one, yes, verbascum.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    I'm pretty sure Salvias are herbacous perennials, not too show about verbascum but I would say that is too image

    Yes. Both are perennials, although Verbascum can be short lived in some gardens.

  • Yes agree salvia and verbascum. I have a card somewhere with variety name as mine is identical to yours and I have a blue, white and purple let me know if you need me to dig it out.
