Hi all I went for a lovely village garden tour today and came across this

The lady didnt know what it is but I would love it in my garden!

Anyone have any ideas on what it is? It seems to have just started flowering.

Hi Matt, it's Papaver somniferum more commonly known as the opium poppy although it doesn't get hot enough in this country to produce opium.  It will seed itself all over the place.
