Help - my asparagus is growing back already!
in Fruit & veg
Hi guys - I need some advice I planted some asparagus this year and it grew well through the summer, produced beautiful ferns and then I cut it back a few weeks ago (probably mid October) and mulched the bed with a really good thick layer of compost. A few days later, it started sprouting again, I assume due to the fantastic autumn weather...? Now I have plants a good 18 inches tall again! What should I do now? Leave them or cut them back - or just ignore them???
And advice gratefully received!
xx

It is healthy so I would leave it alone.
Cut it and eat it. The frost will soon finish it off. I believe the commercial growers have had the same problem.
Agree with fidgetbones
Perhaps cut them down to soon
mine are fine
