Looks like you've got tree bees Bruv image

Lots of people have them this year including my next door neighbour - they appear to be good news, pollinating our fruit trees - and we're told they will not do damage to your house, and anyway will leave before the winter.

I dont think so. Call the local pest control and send the picture to them - im sure they can idvise.

Dovefromabove - thanks, yes, your link has matching pictures.

I should be able to leave them alone as long as they don't come through inside the house. I just hope they'll frighten the cats in my flowerbed that I wrote about recently . . . image

Pest control companies are being inundated with these reports of these at the moment - they are advising to leave alone - they do no harm and are good for the gardens.  They are not aggressive and will only sting if threatened - don't know if that applies to threatening felines or not image

I shan't pester the pest control companies then, especially as they charge more than the bees do for coming here.

There are snail/slug trails leading up the wall to their entry point. Is there a connection?

Yay I got tree bee`s. Came a couple of months ago. Noisy little blighters to start off with ( they are right above our heads in bedroom) but have quietened down now. Very cute things.

If you want rid of them look for any local bee keepers  they will love you for them and take them for free.
