Hi, i have a permanently wet corner in my garden, i am looking to soak up all the water hopefully with some shrubs , any ideas what to use?
20x20 feet , roughly
And what sort of soil do you have?
Do you know why the area is permanently wet?
if its a boggy area research bog or marginal plants, does it get direct sunlight at any pint as that will limit what you can grow if its dark and wet.
hi , its completely open , always in sun (when it shines) its at the bottom of a waste water run off , ( filtered water - but not drinkable , ok for plants ) , thanks
soil is clay
then you are open to a world of possibilities, I would research bog and marginal plants and plant it up as a marsh border.
You could even dig slight holllows and make small mounds (30cm deep and high max) to give you a bit more variation of what you can plant
what an answer , thank you very much
don't forget the Hostas.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
