Cuttings - leave them outside or put them in a cold greenhouse?
Hi, fellow gardeners
I am very keen on taking cuttings. Should I put them in my cold green house for the winter for some protection from wind, rain and frost. Or would it be ok to leave some of them outside - and how do I know which to leave or put inside?
Thanks

can you tell us which plants you have? Some are happier outside, some need a bit of protection.
Winter jasmine, penstemon, cat nip, Euphorbia, sedum stonecrop, choisya, Then root cuttings such as primroses,
Small plug plants such as lavender that have been potted up once.
thanks
I always air on the side of caution, and keep cuttings in greenhouse, once it gets really cold, and bring them out early spring
The stonecrop can stay outside, you don't need to take cuttimgs of that, every little bit that breaks off will root!
Glasshouse or cold frame to protect from the elements.
I usually sink the pots into the soil in the greenhouse - I figure their new roots don't really want to be frozen - but I do give them an occasional watering to stop them drying out.
