Can anybody help me? I have a picture in "My Pictures" and I want to put it in this page I don't know what uploading is or it seems very much about computers,can any body please tell me simply what to do.
right click on the little tree icon on the top of the message box you are typing into (3rd from left).
A dialogue box will come up asking you to select file to upload. Left click on the box marked (Select) and you can navigate to your my pictures folder and choose the photo. Double click on it and, bob's your uncle.
I seem to have done something but as yet can't see a picture, thanks Macavity I tried last night but nothing happened but thanks to Busy-Lizzie I waited and I will have to see if the picture appears next time I log on?
Thank you,thank you, I can now go mad! and maybe, what I first wanted to know is this a weed or a plant in the wrong/right place. It is a really lovely dark green and very healthy, but what is it called.
I have lots of this too in some potted on plants, not sure if it blew in or came in with the multi-purpose. I grew it on and it is starting to get bright insignificant yellow flowers- I am sure it is either a weed or a crop plant from a farmers field that has blown in and self seeded.
It looks like ragwort to me. Can cause liver damage in grazing animals and it's thought that people can absorb the poison through their skin if the plant is touched.
You will need to dig it out, and use gloves while you are doing it. Throw plant & roots away but not on your compost heap. Each plant can produce 100,000 seeds and seeds can lie dormant for 20 years.
Can you tell I've been trying to get rid of this from my field for years?
If that's what it is, mary's right, and it does look like it. Were they daisy like flowers dizzy? Horrible stuff ragwort. If you have horses it's a pain, although we never forund they ate it. Very unsightly in fields where they graze though and best pulled out, but as you say, that can be a job and a half too.
Get it out soon as you can finty and dizzy !
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Sometimes seen it appear in the lawn.

I was wondering about acanthus, but it's hard to tell from the photo if the leaves are shiny enough or big enough. Here is a google pic.

If it's ragwort it's much smaller than I thought from the photo. Yellow daisy flowers, pretty but lethal. Another Google pic.
