i had a great crop of crimson globe last year. but this year i have huge tops and nowt else same allotment and soil.. only differance is old rotten manure dug in back end. would this affect it. cheers.

If the mature was nitrogen-rich it would produce your problem, but if the manure was aged and matured it shouldn't have had too much nitrogen.
