Poached egg plants

Hi everyone,

I have poached egg plants on my allotment which I plant for the bees and hoverflys which in turn to help pollinate my fruit and veg on the plot.

This year some have double flowers, not so good for the insects but they are very pretty.  I havn't seen this before and I wondered if this was common?
