It'd be brill to have the 'Latest Posts', 'Hot Threads' buttons and the rest repeated at the bottom of the page so we don't have to scroll right back up after we've posted.
This is a brilliant forum (probably the friendliest and most helpful Ive ever been on) and I just thought it could be even better.
I was making a suggestion to make the forum easier to use for all of us. I imagine (possibly naively?) that there's someone in the GW team whose job it is to keep an eye on what's happening on here and possibly make some improvements and that they might read this thread title and act on our suggestions.
...And giving you and/or Jeninkent a cue to put forward your idea, which is also a good one. No ulterior motive.
The site is undergoing a load of upgrades and improvements. They've listened to suggestions and ideas from lots of people, so hopefully we can look forward to lots of new bits and bobs soon.
Just hope I can work them....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
If you use the Search facility you can select whether you want to search the whole site, articles, plants or the forum.
While you were away Edd, there was a consultation of members by the GW team, also some members visited the offices and worked with the team on possible improvements which may feature in the upgrade. It's a huge job - hopefully we'll be noticing differences by the spring.

Steve - have you got a 'Home' button - if you hit that it'll whizz you back to the top of the page

Jeninkent and Edd were discussing an improvement to inserting links too.
