Hi addict, I live near Peterborough, 2 acres for wildlife. Newts, moths, bats, dragonflies and damselflies are the stars.

I'm 27 like a lot of forum members, retired 8 years ago.

Hi addict - another 27 year old here - there's a lot of us about image  It's absolutely the best age to be image and I'm joining Nutcutlet in Retirementland on 5th November This Year!!! (I may have mentioned it before somewhere - I'm quite excited about it image)

We're in a village just on the edge of Norwich and have a small garden (but much bigger than the tiny back yard we've come from).

Wildlife is important to us and we have hedgehogs, frogs, dragonflies, bats and lots of birds visiting us.  We have two big ash trees at the end of our garden, and we're keeping our fingers very crossed that the don't get the Die Back disease - they are so important to the birds here.  Our garden is near to an SSSI which is where the bats live, and close to a river and marshland nature reserve.

We have a small veg patch and our Shady Bank full of perennials, roses and climbers.  There's a woodland area under the trees, and next year's project is to create a largeish bed in the front garden, which at the moment is completely down to lawn.

I've gardened all my life, and always had a biggish garden and a smallholding until 20 years ago when my circumstances changed and I moved into the city - the frustrations of a northfacing 8'x10' city yard are well known to me - but now I have a proper garden again, and an Under Gardener image to mow lawns, hang birdboxes and rescue me when I get stuck on the Shady Bank image image
