holly tree

I've got a 10ft'sh Holly Tree - it appear healthy but it's shedding leaves which are yellow.  It's never produced berries - so it a male?

Don't know how old it is as we inherited it 3 years ago and I can't remember this happening last year.

What's going on?

Evergreens shed leaves.  It is quite normal, they just don't do it all at once.

Mine shed this time of year, then you'll get loads of new growth, I've grown mine like lolly pops I dug one up last year when we where building and its in a pot thriving, usually they don't like to be moved!

I have a customer who's holly lost every single leaf last year, it's about 6ft tall.  We decided to leave it in to give it another chance and its covered in new leaves this year so not sure what was going on last year image
