Siting a rhododendron.

I have just bought a poorly Rhododendron Sleepy from a bargain bench and wonder if it will be happy in a fairly dry soil under a Norwegian blue spruce,  I know it needs acid soil but would this be acid enough or possibly too dry. The rest of my garden is fairly clayey.

The only way to tell if your soil is acid enough is to test it. Ph meters are about £10 at the garden centre.
