Now I am in taking cutting mode - has anyone successfully taken camellia cuttings? If so, is this the right time of year to be taking them, and could you give me some tips please!

If you can find a side shoot rather than a leading stem then you can take them now as you would for a semi ripe cutting. Not difficult to do. If you look at the RHS website and look up semi ripe cuttings it's very easy to do.
