Hemerocallis

I just bought my first hemerocallis. Can't remember what sort it is, but I put it in a tub by my front door so I could enjoy the blooms as I passed to and fro.

It is now flowering and I have noticed something rather odd about it. Four flowers have opened so far. Two have had six petals, one had five and one only has four. Is this usual?

I'm not bothered by this, just curious, and relieved it is still upright after the gales we had at the weekend!

    I've only got one in flower so far but I'll go and count tomorrow.

    I've been and counted. 6 on all flowers. It will be interestingto see how yours develops Mary, maybe a couple of oddities to start then it will be OK
