    Thanks Verdun

Are these vigorous and aggressive everywhere or just in your tropical paradise? My friend is in Shetland which may be a little different.

Hedychiums at Trebah seemed to be rampant in permanent planting. Here in the Midlands, i keep them in a frost free greenhouse on the dry side in winter. Left outside in the soil they die.

Some are more hardy than others but in Shetland I cant see them being very aggressive.  ( Well, unless they vote SNP of course image )

Getting their heads blown off at the ankles by the wind is more likely!

Thanks Verdun, Philippa and fidget, I'll pass all that onimage

Invasion of the hedychiums doesn't seem likely in Shetland.
