Grow lights

Do any fellow gardeners have any experience of grow lights? I currently use an 8 x 2 cable heated propagating bench so heated lighting is not necessary, only light. Any observations would be gratefully appreciated.

Yep, I'm looking for information about LED grow lights too. Doesn't seem to be anything much useful out there.

Same situation, I have heat but it's going into a toolshed, where there isn't much natural light.
The hydroponics people sell growlights. If you are prepared to have a big electrickery bill, they're fine. If you are growing for showing they are useful to extend the season. For normal folk who just grow their own to eat or admire, they're not useful.
