Aphids on rosebuds!

Hello gardeners!
I need a little advice. I have a beautiful rose bush in my garden that is already full of lovely buds, promising many blossoms this summer.
But I noticed today that some flowerbuds have aphids sitting on them. I took a spray bottle filled with water and sprayed them away but I'm scared they'll spread.
Is there anything I can do?

I agree with nutcutlet - or if you're squeamish then use a soft paintbrush to brush them off - much better than spraying with noxious stuff that might kill ladybirds and harm bees
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I get my garden hose out and set it to the flat jet style and then grip the stem and jet them off. Does not seem to harm the roses and aphids end up a long way across the road, which in relative terms is a hell of journey back!

Use a solution of washing up liquid and water spray your rosebuds in the evening liberally.
