freak of nature
in Talkback
I was picking brambles a couple of weeks ago and noticed one with a small flower on top. On closer inspection I noticed that the flower was actually growing out of the bramble. It was not a bramble flower but what looked to me to be a small autumn crocus, purple with stamen in the middle. Has anyone seen or heard the likes before? Instead of letting the wee girl next door eat it I guess I should have frozen or dried it. Hindsight is wonderful isn't it! I have a few photographs, though! Honest, this is not a hoax.

looks like a speedwell flower, not growing on it, just stuck to it.
It looks nothing like a speedwell flower which is blue. Look up autumn crocus
Maybe you've discovered a new speedwell
I`ve never seen a speedwell with stamen
